WHAT DO COURSE FEES COVER?
Fees cover admission, course materials, refreshments and a hospitality reception. Fees are payable in advance by cash, company check (US dollars), VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover or Diners Club. Please add $100 if you register 5 business days or less before the session start date.
WHERE IS MY EVENT BEING HELD?
Seminars: The seminar venue is listed in your confirmation letter and on the website. There may be instances where a venue change is necessary. If this occurs a Customer Service Representative will contact you with the revised venue information at least two weeks prior to the start of class.
Conferences: For detailed information about your conference venue location please refer to the specific website. You can view a listing of current conferences here.

WHAT ARE THE CLASS HOURS?
Seminars: Three, four, and five-day seminars start at 8:30AM and conclude at 5:00PM, with the exception of the final day which ends at 3:00PM. Two-day seminars start at 8:30AM and conclude at 5:00PM on the first day and 3:30PM the second day. The instructor will host a social hour on the first day of all classes from 5:00PM to 6:00PM.
ACL Seminars: All ACL seminars start at 8:30AM and conclude at 4:30PM daily. You can view a listing of ACL seminars here.

HOW MANY CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION CREDITS WILL I EARN?
MISTI is registered with NASBA as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.
2-day programs - 16 CPEs
3-day programs - 24 CPEs
4-day programs - 32 CPEs
5-day programs - 40 CPEs
Conference CPEs will vary, depending on the program. You can view a listing of current conferences and the CPEs offered here.
A Certificate of Attendance will be provided to you at the conclusion of the program. Attendees must be present for the full class hours to receive all CPEs. Please plan your homeward bound travel accordingly as any extended absence will result in reduced CPE credits.
WHAT IS THE PROPER ATTIRE?
"Business-casual" attire is appropriate for all MIS Training Institute programs. The temperature in many training facilities can vary greatly throughout the day. We advise that you dress in layers in order to be comfortable as the indoor climate changes.
DOES MISTI PROVIDE REFRESHMENTS OR LUNCH?
For our Seminar programs a continental breakfast (coffee, tea, juice, and breakfast breads) is available at 8:00am daily. There are also mid-morning (coffee & soft drinks) and mid-afternoon (soft drinks & a snack) refreshment breaks daily. Unless otherwise indicated, lunch is not provided as part of the program. There is a break for lunch each day usually from 12:00PM - 1:00PM. Your instructor or facility personnel can help with suggestions for lunch options within short walking distance of the seminar venue.

ARE THERE ANY "AFTER-CLASS" ACTIVITIES PLANNED?
Yes. For our Seminar Programs your instructor will host an informal social hour from 5:00PM - 6:00PM after class on the first day. This is a great opportunity to unwind with your fellow classmates and to expand your personal network. We hope you will plan to stay for this social hour. For our Conferences and most other events there are usually multiple networking and after-class activities planned. Please referee to the brochure or website page for that program for more details.
WHAT ABOUT TRAVEL AND HOTEL RESERVATIONS?
In some instance we do reserve a room block at some hotel venues. This information will be on the registration information page of the event. In the instances we do not offer a special room rate we have found that most attendees prefer to research the other discount options available such as AAA, AARP and “Web” rates through discounted sites. MISTI does not make travel and hotel reservations for their attendees.
WHAT ARE MISTI’S CANCELLATION POLICIES?
MISTI makes every effort to run all of the scheduled programs as advertised. In the instance that MISTI does cancel or reschedule an event we will give you as much advance notice as possible. Your tuition fee can be either held on account or refunded if MISTI cancels the event. MISTI is not responsible, however, for penalties incurred as a result of discount hotel reservations or air fare purchases.
Conference Cancellation Policy:
If you can no longer attend the conference, please review the MISTI cancellation policy below and provide written notice to MISTI Customer Service at email@example.com. Cancellation policies are subject to change without notice.
• Cancellations received more than 46 days prior to the event start date will be entitled to a 100% refund less an administrative fee of $195.
• You may elect to substitute another individual from your organization for the same event at any time without incurring an administrative fee of $195. Registration are non-transferable to other events.
• Cancellations received between 45-22 days prior to the event start date will be refunded 50% of the amount paid.
• No refund will be given for cancellations received 21 days or less prior to the event start date.
Seminar Cancellation Policy
If you can no longer attend the seminar, please review the MISTI cancellation policy below and provide written notice to MISTI Customer Service at firstname.lastname@example.org. Cancellation policies are subject to change without notice.
• You may elect to substitute another individual from the same company for the same seminar date and location without incurring any fees
• Cancellations received between 15-30 days prior to the event start date will receive a full refund less a $495 administrative fee or you may do a one-time transfer your registration to a different seminar offering within the next 12 months without incurring an administrative fee.
• No refunds or transfers will be given for cancellations received 14 days or less prior to the event start date.
Webinar Cancellation Policy
If you can no longer attend the webinar, please review the MISTI cancellation policy below and provide written notice to MISTI Customer Service at email@example.com. Cancellation policies are subject to change without notice.
• You may elect to substitute another individual from your organization for the same webinar at any time prior to the start date of the event at no charge.
• Cancellations received between 14-30 days prior to the event start date will be entitled to a 100% refund.
• No refund will be given for cancellations received less than 14 days from the event start date.
ACL Certified Courses: If you have to cancel your registration a full refund will be given for cancellations received up to 22 days before the event. Tuition is non-refundable for cancellations made 21 days or less before the event. You may, however, transfer your tuition to another MIS Training Institute event, less a $250 administrative fee. Transfers are valid for 12 months from the time of initial cancellation. Substitutions are welcome at any time. Those who do not cancel before the event date and who do not attend are responsible for the full non-refundable, non-transferable tuition.
If you are a PERC member, you may cancel any event registration without penalty at any time up to five (5) business days prior to the start date. Cancellations made less than five (5) business days but at least one business day prior to the start date are subject to a $100 deduction from the PERC account. Those who do not cancel and do not attend will forfeit the full course fee.
ARE THERE OTHER PROGRAMS HAPPENING THE SAME WEEK?
MISTI does hold “Training Weeks” that offer multiple programs in one location during a one week time span. You can view more information about ways to save here. You may wish to check the MIS Course Catalog or go to www.misti.com to see if there are any other MISTI programs running the same week as the program you will be attending (either before or after) which might also be of interest to you. If so, please contact our Customer Service or Telesales staff to register and to find out about multiple course discounts.
ARE TEAM DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE?
Seminars: If 3 people register for the same seminar on the same date, each saves 10% off the seminar fee. All registrations must be made at the same time and paid for together. Attend consecutive seminars in the same week and save 10% off both seminars. Discount offers cannot be combined. Conferences: For conferences, there are specific group discounts available that may vary. Please refer to the specific conference’s website registration page for discounts.
WHAT IS A PERC?
PERC (Preferred Education Rate Contract) is a discounted program designed for companies that need to train diverse staff in a number of different areas. By purchasing training in bulk, organizations can save 10-20% on the cost of public training. WHAT IF I FEEL A PROGRAM HASN’T LIVED UP TO ITS DESCRIPTION?
MISTI stands behind all its programs. If you did not receive tools and techniques that will help you do your job better, simply tell us why on your company letterhead within 30 days of attending the event and we will give you a full credit toward any MIS program.
