Orlando area internal auditors or those who want to get some sun in December will have the opportunity to get up to speed on several topics all in one week, as MISTI's Training Week heads to the theme park capital of the world.

The week-long series of seminars will take place from December 12-15 at the Hilton Orlando in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Internal auditors can choose from among 10 courses, including such foundational courses as Fundamentals of Internal AuditingIT Audit School, and Intermediate IT Audit School.

During training week, MISTI will also offer several courses in specific areas of interest. For example, the course COSO 2013 Internal Control Integrated Framework, with instructor Greg Duckert, will focus on instructing auditors on how the new principles-based approach to internal controls can be designed effectively and deployed successfully within your organization. Throughout this two-day seminar, Participants will examine the implications for business leaders, process owners, and internal auditors, who can use the COSO framework to add value while providing audit and consulting services.

Another two-day course, Bribery and Corruption: FCPA & UK Bribery Act Compliance will instruct attendees on the laws, corruption risks, internal controls, and audit and investigation strategies to ensure your company can demonstrate corporate compliance with bribery and corruption regulation. Discussion points will be based on actual DoJ enforcement cases and case studies will be used to reinforce course material.

Internal auditors can make the most of the week by adding a three-day seminar on such topics as Fraud Data Analytics or Network Security Essentials, with instructor Martin Green.

The week will also offer several networking opportunities. There's no better time to be in Orlando than December, and MISTI's Training Week provides a great reason to head there.
